When you have a family member with a developmental disability, it can be challenging to navigate your options and get the highest quality care. We are here to help you navigate the best options for your situation!

Katie McKnight

As the mother of a son with a developmental disability, finding outstanding resources has always been challenging. Unfortunately, families like mine have often experienced similar difficulties; it’s been a long and complicated journey to figure out how to get help. But, it doesn’t have to be that way any longer for the residents of Maine. As a life-long educator, author, and former professor, I have always believed in the power of families and the importance of high-quality resources.

I created Family First Developmental Disabilities so that you finally have a solution to navigate this challenging environment and so that you finally get the care you deserve. Your success is our highest priority! The cornerstone of Family First is to provide high-quality services and opportunities rooted in friendships and acceptance.
