A DSP or BHP is someone who works directly with people who have intellectual or developmental disabilities. We find top-quality professionals and train them specifically to fit our client’s needs.
Upon hiring, the initial training plan includes Direct Care training and other required Maine training. All DSP or BHP names are submitted for background checks and cleared prior to providing any services. We ensure that Onboarding, Licensing Training, Parent Orientation Training, and all state-mandated requirements are met. The ISP will be developed with the individual, guardian, or parent to determine needs. Each employee will work with the parent/guardian to train and ensure each client has their needs met via the ISP. Staff needs to have a current CPR and First Aid certificate. Additional training may be needed as identified by the member’s ISP. We will qualify each employee with adequate and appropriate training for the tasks they will be required to do before working with clients.
